Overdrive Guitar Pedal
Project Overview
I wanted to shape my guitar's sound with a custom overdrive circuit. I simulated the op-amp gain and diode clipping stages in LTSpice, then built a 9V breadboard prototype. Guitar tests and oscilloscope measurements confirmed the clipping and tone controls worked.
Key Features
- Op-Amp Based Signal Amplification
- Diode-Based Clipping Circuit
- Adjustable Gain, Tone, and Volume Controls
- LTSpice Circuit Simulation
What I Learned
I learned how op-amp gain, diode clipping, and filtering shape an overdrive signal. Comparing LTSpice simulations with oscilloscope readings and guitar tests helped me connect component choices to the sound of the built circuit.
